Our 275 GTB
Following the legendary 250 range, Ferrari introduced the 275 GTB in 1964 as its true successor. Although familiar in silhouette, the 275 was Ferrari’s first front engined V12 GT to feature independent rear suspension and a rear mounted transaxle. Both marking a decisive shift from the 250 era.
The model range quickly expanded into several versions. Early 275 GTBs featured a short nose bodywork, visually pure but aerodynamically sensitive at higher speeds. This led to the later long nose GTBs, where a subtly extended front end brought improved stability and balance without altering the core design. Later road going evolutions arrived with the 275 GTB four cam, adding a quad cam V12 and further mechanical refinement.
Our 275 GTB is a Long Nose 3 carburettors variant. Fully restored to Ferrari's Classiche Standards and in its original colour scheme of Grigio Argento over Conolly Vaumol 3171 Pelle Rossa.
Long Nose
Besides improving stability at high speeds, the long nose subtly redefined the 275 proportions. If not side by side, long noses can be easily distinguished from short noses by its wider rear window, and external boot latches.
Classiche Certified
Ferrari Classiche certification, also called Red Book, confirms a Ferrari's originality across chassis, engine, gearbox and body. It ensures a classic Ferrari retains its correct mechanical specification as it originally left Maranello and is available for Ferrari's that are over 15 years of age.
Connolly Vaumol
Connolly Vaumol was Ferrari’s standard leather in the 1950s and 1960s. Unlike later corrected-grain leathers, Vaumol was drum-dyed, heavily waxed and left with a natural surface. This allowed the leather to age organically. However, it made it sensitive to heat and light. This led Ferrari to move away from Connolly Vaumol in the early 1970s, and making surviving original Vaumol interiors rare today.
