Our 458 Speciale A

In 2013, Ferrari introduced the Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta as the open counterpart to the 458 Speciale. It was developed to retain the same focus and precision as the coupé, while integrating the added complexity of an open roof without compromising rigidity or response.

At its core sits the naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8, producing 605 hp. To this day, Ferrari has never produced a more powerful naturally aspirated V8 road car, placing the Speciale Aperta at the absolute peak of Ferrari’s NA V8 development. Furthermore, unlike the standard 458 Italia, the Speciale Aperta introduced active aerodynamic elements at the front and rear, allowing downforce and drag to be managed dynamically. Combined with extensive weight reduction, this defined the car’s balance, feedback and immediacy.

Our 458 Speciale Aperta is finished in Argento Nürburgring and features a longitudinal Italian tricolore livery. The interior is fully upholstered in Nero Alcantara, complemented by Grigio Scuro contrast stitching.

Atelier Ferrari

At the time of the 458 Speciale’s launch, Ferrari’s personalisation programmes were still in their early stages, especially when compared to extensive options available today. As a result, highly specified cars such as Tailor Made or Atelier Speciales are exceptionally rare. Despite this, our 458 Speciale Aperta was specified in Maranello in collaboration with a Ferrari designer under the Atelier programme. Special options include the tricolore 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel, tricolore-painted F1 button surrounds, and the embroidered car logo on the rear wall.

Carbon Fibre Sill Cover

A distinctive detail on our 458 Speciale Aperta is the exposed carbon fibre sill cover panel [CEXS]. While a lot of carbon aero components were standard to the Speciale, this option was rarely selected, as most attention went to other more obvious carbon options. As a result, examples retaining this exposed carbon underbody remain particularly uncommon today. To make it even more special, our speciale additionally features a tricolore livery on the lateral carbon fibre fins

Award winning V8

The naturally aspirated V8 fitted to the 458 Speciale is one of the most awarded engines of its era. Ferrari’s 4.5-litre V8 won International Engine of the Year in 2011, 2012 and 2013, along with multiple class and performance awards during the same period. This recognition further reinforced its status as the peak of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V8 development.
