
Our Daytona SP3
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 sits within Ferrari’s Icona programme as a modern interpretation of the marque’s mid-engined V12 prototypes from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Rather than referencing a single historic model, its design draws broadly from cars such as the 330 P3/P4 and 512 S.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 derived from the 812 Competizione, mounted in a mid-rear position. The car is built around a re-engineered carbon fibre monocoque based on the LaFerrari architecture, providing extensive stiffness and structural integrity. Furthermore, aerodynamic performance is achieved without external wings. Airflow is managed through the front and rear clamshells and the sculpted rear bodywork to generate downforce through form rather than add-on elements

Pop-up headlights
Due to modern pedestrian-safety regulations, traditional pop-up headlights are no longer permitted. The Daytona SP3 therefore reinterprets this classic Ferrari feature in a modern way. Instead of mechanical flip-up units, the headlights remain concealed behind the front bodywork. When switched on, a section of the bodywork retracts to reveal them, recreating the visual effect of classic Ferrari pop-ups in a contemporary, compliant form.

Azzurro La Plata
We wanted our Daytona SP3 to be painted in a historically relevant Ferrari colour. For that reason, we chose Azzurro La Plata . The light blue comes from Argentina’s national racing colour and was worn by Alberto Ascari, who believed the shade brought him luck. It later appeared on Niki Lauda’s Ferrari race suit and was echoed on the overalls of Ferrari mechanics from Maranello, giving the colour a genuine place in Ferrari’s racing heritage.
To make our Daytona SP3 just a little more special we opted for the Metallic version, making our SP3 the first Ferrari ever to be painted in Azzurro La Plata Metallizzato

Le Mans Prototype
The Daytona SP3’s rear section is designed to work like a modern interpretation of a Le Mans prototype tail. Instead of a rear wing, the entire rear bodywork acts as a diffuser, with deep channels sculpted into the lower section and rear quarters to accelerate airflow under and out of the car. The long cut-outs behind the rear wheels help pull hot air and turbulent flow away from the body, reducing lift while increasing stability at speed.
